Majorie Summers, the Vice-Commodore of Rowing: The rowing group lost one longtime rower (Carol Kramer) and welcomed two new rowers (one starting out with her own scull and another benefiting from the generosity of longtime members). SLBC still has one Alden Ocean boat available for loan if anyone is interest in learning and housing the equipment – this could be YOUR year. The season will bring the usual weekend 8 am casual rows and hopefully some sprint races for anyone up for a challenge. Learning about boat maintenance, physical conditioning, technique and building camaraderie are on tap this Summer.
